ICAS offers members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Chartered Institute of Public Financial Accountants (CIPFA) the opportunity to become a member with ICAS through the Pathways Route.

You may be eligible to apply for the Pathways Route to ICAS membership if you:

  • Are a member of Good Standing with ACCA or CIPA and have maintained membership since qualifying
  • Have been a member for 5 years or more (excluding career and maternity/paternity breaks)
  • Have completed the full UK ACCA or CIPFA qualification through the bodies’ approved examination route
  • Have maintained membership since qualifying

As an ICAS member, if you intend to practice under our Public Practice Regulations, you will also be required to obtain a practising certificate (PC).  Details of the practising certificate and how to apply for one can be found on the Practicing Certificate page.
