The Test of Relevant Expertise (TRE) is a competency-based self-assessment designed to assist students and new or returning members into ICAS membership.
You may need to complete TRE if you:
- Are a student who has not proceeded to membership within three years of passing the Integration level (formerly TPE) of the CA Qualification as per Section 11.1 of the Student Handbook
- Are a former ICAS member seeking to re-join ICAS
- Are completing a pathway to ICAS membership on the basis of holding another professional accounting qualification
The TRE consists of five reflective essay questions that uses a holistic, attribute-based model set as outcomes.
Below you’ll find all the information you need to know about TRE, including how to apply and key dates and deadlines for submission.
