The Accounting and Business Professional (ABP) qualification builds accounting, finance and business talent. It boosts capability and develops future leaders with a clear pathway to becoming a CA.

What it does

The ABP provides an additional pathway for the next generation of accounting, finance and business teams.

It mixes skills, knowledge and experience into a new standalone professional qualification that builds real-world capability in accounting, finance and business management. Those who achieve it can use the ABP personal designation and apply for ICAS affiliate status.

It’s ideal for people looking to formalise their expertise without committing to the full CA qualification, while still keeping the door wide open for future CA progression.

And for employers, the ABP offers a flexible, affordable, high-quality learning route that strengthens early career pipelines and supports upskilling across finance teams.
