Your ICAS, your vote: How to vote in the 2026 ICAS Council elections and on the SGM and AGM resolutions

Nominations are in and voting opens on 1 April for the contested ICAS Council seats. You will also be asked to vote on the 2026 ICAS SGM and AGM resolutions.

Council's volunteer members range from early career CAs to established business leaders. They help set and oversee our strategy.

Meet the 2026 Council candidates
We recently invited you to submit nominations for the vacant Council seats.
Open seat election
Three nominations were received for the one ICAS Council Open seat vacancy. During the election you will be able to choose your preferred candidate from:
- Stuart McCallum CA
- Jonny Mills CA
- Tracy Thorius CA
Scotland East election
Two nominations were received for the one ICAS Council Scotland East vacancy. If you are based in Scotland East*, you will be able to choose your preferred candidate from:
- Tony Cervi CA
- Shona Campbell CA
(*Scotland East includes City of Edinburgh, West Lothian, Midlothian, East Lothian, Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, Scottish Borders, Perth and Kinross, Fife, Dundee City, Angus.)

Uncontested seats
The below seats were open to nominations but were not contested, meaning that the candidates listed will be appointed with effect from the AGM on 24 April.
Scotland North Electoral Area
Lucas Alexander Crichton CA was the only candidate who submitted a nomination so has been elected unopposed.
England, Wales and Northern Ireland Electoral Area
David Aylward CA and Reysha Shah CA were the only candidates who submitted nominations for the two vacant seats so have been elected unopposed.
SGM and AGM voting
From 1 April you can also vote on 2026 ICAS SGM and AGM resolutions:
SGM resolutions

To approve amendments to the ICAS Rules relating to removal from membership.

That Council be empowered to accept any alteration or addition to Resolution 1 which may be required by His Majesty’s Privy Council as a condition precedent to the allowance of the amendments provided for in Resolution 1.

Rules: 3.13, 6.4, 6.5 and a new Rule 17.

AGM resolutions
- Receive and approve the 2025 Annual Report and Consolidated Financial Statements.
- Approve the re-appointment of BDO LLP as ICAS Auditor.

How to vote
From Wednesday 1 April, you'll receive an email from Mi-Voice, the independent election scrutineer who is managing the voting on behalf of ICAS. The email will contain a link to ICAS’ secure elections website and the unique voter code you’ll need to cast your votes.
There, you’ll also find further information on what you need to vote on and details about the candidates who have been nominated for election.
If you don’t have an email address, you’ll be notified by letter and can either vote online or request a postal ballot pack.
What to do if you don’t receive your voting email
Voting emails will be sent from 1 April 2026 from icas@mivoice.co.uk.
If you don’t see the email in your inbox after that date, please check your spam or junk mail folders. If you still don’t see the email, please contact the Mi-Voice support team at support@mi-voice.com.
When will voting close?
Voting will close on Wednesday 22 April at 12 noon (BST).
When will we know the results?
The results will be announced at the 2026 ICAS SGM and AGM on Friday 24 April.

The 2026 ICAS SGM and AGM will be held at CA House, Edinburgh and online by Microsoft Teams on Friday 24 April. You can register here to attend online.
