We are looking for young CAs at the cutting edge of innovation, whether that’s through the use of the new technologies transforming our profession and the business environment, or simply innovating in their chosen field by finding new solutions for tackling age old problems.

We are looking for CAs who are:

  • Embracing new and developing ways of working, whether in a start-up or in business or practice.
  • Involved in developing their organisation or operating models through the application of new tech.
  • Innovating in the development of risk management solutions relating to big data, robotics and AI.

We ask you to use your judgement to determine which category best fits the CA you wish to nominate.

Innovators in Technology winner 2026: Gaige Kinsella CA

Gaige Kinsella CA, AI & Intelligent Automation Strategist, EY, has led complex technology projects within EY’s assurance practice, transforming audit processes through AI, Python and cloud-based solutions. His work has been adopted across the UK and beyond, reducing administrative burdens and improving efficiency. Combining technical expertise with his CA skills, he develops innovative, compliant solutions that address audit risks. He plays a key role in advancing AI, shaping strategy and supporting responsible adoption. Gaige mentors colleagues, sharing knowledge to amplify his impact, while his leadership, creativity and commitment to quality are a source of inspiration.

Innovators in Technology winner 2025: Peter Cowan CA

Peter Cowan CA, Audit and Accounts Director, Hall Morrice, exemplifies a new generation of strategic leaders in accountancy, driving digital transformation while fostering strong client and team relationships. He led the successful financial integration of a UK firm acquired by a Norwegian parent, demonstrating technical expertise and cross-border leadership. He has spearheaded Hall Morrice’s digital evolution, implementing cloud-based systems and Power BI to enhance efficiency and client insight.

As a representative on the PrimeGlobal IT Communities of Practice, he helps to shape international best practices. On a more personal level, Cowan’s leadership style is rooted in mentorship, supporting junior staff through technological change, while outside the office he manages the Angus Farmers’ Market, reflecting his community values. At just 31, he’s on track to become Hall Morrice's youngest-ever Director of Audit and Accounting – making him a true Rising Star within the firm and the profession.
