Associate Partner, Ernst & Young Ltd.

How long have you lived in the Cayman Islands?

10 years.

Where were you before?

EY Switzerland.

Where did you train?

EY London.

What made you decide to get involved and become an ICAS Ambassador, and what have been the biggest takeaways for you personally and professionally?

When I arrived to the island, I was impressed by the ICAS community and events. As these became less common after COVID-19, I wanted to help reinvigorate the community on island. I believe it provides a valuable network outside of work for ICAS members and am happy to help in whatever way I can.

What was it about the Cayman Islands that made you want to come here?

Weather and job opportunities.

Which part of the Cayman Islands do you call home?

I live in South Sound, a suburb of George Town.

What’s the one thing you shouldn’t miss if visiting the area? (e.g tourist attraction, cool area, best food, the outdoors)

Seven Mile Beach and a boat trip to Stingray City.

I’m new to the area, can you recommend somewhere for:

  • A business lunch - Agua.
  • An evening out - Casanovas.
  • A weekend getaway - Kimpton.

Describe the local professional community in three words.

Knowledgeable. Reliable. Trustworthy.

What are the best things about living and working in the Cayman Islands?

Being part of one of the world’s top financial services hubs, with great career opportunities and a fantastic lifestyle.

And what are the biggest challenges?

Sometimes feeling a long way from family, but you quickly develop a Cayman family.

What advice would you give to another CA considering an opportunity in the Cayman Islands?

Do it – there are only upsides to getting more experience in a different location.
