Nearly two out of three of our working members work in business. Our Business Policy Panel consists of senior members who either work in audit or advise businesses, ranging from large to small.
Business Policy Panel remit
The Business Policy Panel represents both member views and the public interest on business policy issues by developing thought leadership/guidance and making representations to stakeholders. The Business Policy Panel reports to the Policy Leadership Board.
Our business policy positions are set out below, with overarching ICAS policy themes and positions:
- Building trust in business
- Easier access to funding for SMEs and support for a private sector-led recovery (promoting enterprise);
- Create a positive environment for business and enterprise through better regulation and clear principles (better regulation, principles not rules);
- Promotion of sound corporate governance (sound governance).
