Apply for a Special Consideration
Find out how to apply for a Special Consideration and review the Special Consideration and Extenuating Circumstances policy.
The purpose of the Special Consideration and Extenuating Circumstances policy is to set out the requirements for students seeking consideration where their performance during an assessment may have been materially impacted by a circumstance outside their control.
What is a Special Consideration?
A Special Consideration relates to an unforeseen, unexpected, and temporary experience which occurred during your assessment and which has materially impacted your performance during that assessment.
How and when do I apply?
You must apply to ICAS (using the form below) outlining your experience and the resulting impact.
Your application must be submitted within 24-hours of the end of the assessment.
Each request for a Special Consideration will be unique to you and will depend on the circumstances that occurred during the assessment.
For more information on this process, please consult the Special Consideration and Extenuating Circumstances Policy.
