ICAS in partnership redundancy support
ICAS has joined the Scottish Government's PACE initiative, which aims to help individuals and employers with advice and support when facing redundancy.
Partnership Action for Continuing Employment - PACE - is the Scottish Government's initiative dedicated to helping individuals and employers with advice and support when faced with redundancy.
ICAS recently joined PACE and is one of 22 partners involved in the initiative. These include: Skills Development Scotland; the Department for Work and Pensions; the Insolvency Service; CBI Scotland and the Federation of Small Businesses Scotland. The strength of the partnership is the pooled expertise and shared knowledge of its members.
The strong link between CAs and the business community provides an excellent opportunity to increase awareness of the PACE service amongst employers. The key benefit for employers is the free, impartial advice and one-to-one support available from an experienced PACE adviser. This minimises the strain of dealing with redundancy, allowing the employer to focus on business objectives.
