New IFAC resources to help you explore the IESBA Code and maintain your AML expertise
New resources from the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) include an audio guide to the IESBA Code and a range of AML resources.
Audio guide to explore the IESBA Code
The Exploring the IESBA Code series, developed by IFAC in collaboration with the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), is intended to promote awareness, adoption and implementation of the International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (including International Independence Standards). The twelve-instalment publication series highlights important topics in the Code and each instalment focuses on a specific aspect of the Code using real-world situations in a manner that is relatable and practical. Instalments include useful links to access relevant resources, including content in the IESBA Code.
A new guide in audio format has now also been made available, allowing you to listen and explore the twelve instalments on your mobile device.
AML resources
IFAC have also developed Anti-Money Laundering: The Basics, to help professional accountants enhance their understanding of how money laundering works, the risks you face, and what you can do to mitigate these risks and make a positive contribution to the public interest.
The series, with its focus on accessibility and ease of use, will be a useful resource for small and medium-sized practices and anyone less familiar with AML, while also providing guidance for those looking for a quick refresher or reference.
