Lead the way to an inclusive future this Pride month
Pride is a powerful celebration that embraces diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions, signifying a movement towards equality, acceptance, and inclusion. In the workplace, allyship refers to actively supporting and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community.
Here you’ll find an invite to join us at Pride 2024, alongside inspiring stories and resources to help you fly the Pride flag throughout the year.
Join us at Pride
This year we'll once again be joining the Pride march in Edinburgh on Saturday 22 June, with ICAS staff, members and students all flying the Pride flag alongside the LGBTQ+ community. The celebration begins at 12.30pm outside Holyrood Palace and we can’t wait to join in the party that takes over the city and unites people around the world.
If you're interested in joining us for the march in Edinburgh, please let us know by getting in touch at students@icas.com if you're a student or members@icas.com if you're a member. We'll then be in touch with more information about where and when to meet.
If you're unable to join us in Edinburgh, you can find your closest Pride march here.
Why we fly the Pride flag
As ethical leaders, we have a duty to our students, members and the wider public to be at the forefront of the change that we want to see in our profession and society. For us, this is more than just ‘flying the flag’, although we do this also. We want to uplift our members from the LGBTQ+ community, showing that within our profession everyone can be their authentic selves.
