ICAS launches new Student Assistance Programme
As part of the Mental Fitness Strategy announced in May, ICAS has launched a vital new wellbeing-support service for CA Students.
This week sees the launch of ICAS’ new Student Assistance Programme. The service, provided by Health Assured, offers a unique support package to all our CA Students.
The suite of wellbeing services and support includes:
- A freephone 24-hour telephone helpline
- 365-days-a-year access to BACP accredited counsellors
- An Online Wellbeing web portal
- The My Healthy Advantage mobile app
- LiveAgent instant chat via an online portal
Support for a range of issues
The online web portal and the mobile app are packed with relevant content and resources specific to our CA Students (as well as many other topics of interest), plus newsfeeds and content that can be tailored to individual needs or preferences.
Students can also access Bright TV which provides inspirational stories from household names such as Dame Kelly Holmes, Ruby Wax OBE and Sally Gunnell OBE.
These services can be used for a variety of reasons and can provide support relating to a wide range of issues, such as coping with exam pressure, dealing with landlord disputes, managing working whilst studying, study patterns, legal issues and managing change.

ICAS Mental Fitness Strategy
The launch of this new service forms part of the ICAS Mental Fitness Strategy which was launched in May 2021.
The strategy is a three-year plan which aims to break down the stigma surrounding mental ill-health in business, provide access to resources and see ICAS become a leading voice for the promotion of mental fitness.
The launch of the Student Assistance Programme provides a key service that demonstrates ICAS' commitment to supporting its CA Students throughout their training and beyond.
