ICAS AGM 2024: Results of Council elections and new Office Bearers for 2024/25
The 2024 ICAS AGM was held in Edinburgh on 26 April. The ICAS Office Bearers for 2024/25 and the results of the elections to Council were both confirmed during the meeting.
The 2024 ICAS AGM took place at CA House in Edinburgh and on Microsoft Teams on Friday 26 April.
During the meeting the names of the ICAS Office Bearers for 2024/25 were confirmed, along with the results of the elections to ICAS Council. Voting was also undertaken on a range of separate AGM resolutions.
ICAS Office Bearers for 2024/25 confirmed
The new Office Bearer appointments for 2024/25 were confirmed during the meeting as follows:
- President – Alison Cornwell CA
- Deputy President – Karen Scholes CA
- Vice President – David Cruickshank CA
Alison Cornwell CA takes over as President from Clive Bellingham CA and will serve a year in office.
ICAS would like to thank Clive Bellingham CA for the hugely positive contribution he made to ICAS during his year in office.
ICAS Council election results
The results of the elections to ICAS Council were also announced. Congratulations to the successful candidates, thanks to all members who took part and to everyone who got involved, considered their choices and cast their votes.
Open Seat position
The ICAS Council Open Seat position received four nominations and an election was held. The successful candidate was:
- Graham Stirling CA
Total number of votes cast was 1089 and the full results of the voting were:
- The number of votes cast in favour of Graham Stirling CA was 321
- The number of votes cast in favour of Jaci Badenhorst CA was 316
- The number of votes cast in favour of Stuart Hope CA was 271
- The number of votes cast in favour of Gareth David Wilson CA was 181
Electoral Area seats
The ICAS Council England, Wales and Northern Ireland Electoral Area Seat position received two nominations and an election was held. The successful candidate was:
- Tracey Rob Perera CA
Total number of votes cast was 293 and the full results of the voting were:
- The number of votes cast in favour of Tracey Rob Perera CA was 165
- The number of votes cast in favour of David Wilson CA was 128
Uncontested seats
The following positions that were open to nominations were not contested, meaning that the candidates listed below were appointed with effect from the AGM:
Scotland North Electoral Area
- Gavin MacKenzie CA was the only candidate and has been elected unopposed.
AGM resolution voting results
The proxy voting and in-person voting results on each Resolution were also announced and both were carried. The results were:
