ICAS achieves ISO 9001 accreditation
ICAS (The Institute of Chartered Accountant of Scotland) has achieved ISO 9001 accreditation with LRQA, Lloyds Register.
ICAS committed to embed quality management throughout the organisation last year. It then established an internationally recognised quality management system to improve the quality of the products and services it provides to customers.
J Bruce Cartwright CA, ICAS Chief Executive, said: “We’re delighted to achieve our ISO 9001:2015 certification. Achieving accreditation has been a cross-organisational effort and will bring great benefits to ICAS and our customers.
“Establishing quality management processes will support us to provide high-quality services to our Members, Students, customers and stakeholders and allow us to continually improve.”
ISO 9001 is the world's most recognised quality management system (QMS) standard. It aims to help organisations meet the needs of their customers and other stakeholders more effectively through building a framework that ensures consistent quality in the provision of goods and/or services.
ISO 9001 aims to provide a practical and workable QMS for improving and monitoring all areas of the business. It gives customers and stakeholders assurance that the management systems are constantly assessed and approved.
