Grampian chartered accountants appointed to ICAS governance roles
Two Grampian chartered accountants have been appointed to governance roles at ICAS.
Emily Kennedy CA is the new Chair of the ICAS Grampian Area Network, while Lucas Alexander-Crichton CA has been appointed to the ICAS Members’ Board as the new Grampian Area Network representative.
Emily has sat as a Non-Executive Director on ICAS Council since 2021 and a member of the ICAS Grampian Area Network since 2017. Emily works with Deal Advisory and Consulting at KPMG.
Emily Kennedy CA said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed as Chair. Having sat on the committee for the last five years, I’m looking forward to connecting with all the CAs in the Grampian area to drive any change that they want to see.
“I’m hoping to grow the profile of the ICAS Grampian area network and build a close network that CAs feel part of and have a community to connect with and exchange opportunities.”
Lucas Alexander-Crichton CA, who is a Resourcing Manager at Hutcheon Mearns, said: “I am thrilled to have been successfully appointed as the Grampian representative on the ICAS Members’ Board, and to be part of the success of ICAS going forward. An effective Members Board is required to act as an agent between our members and ICAS, to ensure that the voice of the members is heard and appropriately actioned on.
“I want to bring a new perspective to the Board and represent not only the Grampian region but also the minority voice. As a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, I want to ensure that the voice of the LGBT+ community is also represented.”
The ICAS Members Board is the body appointed by the ICAS Council to be responsible for providing strategic direction, guidance, oversight and challenge to the member engagement work undertaken by ICAS. ICAS also has local Area Networks and Communities around the world, which connect members and students in the UK and internationally with ICAS.
