Becoming an ICAS member
From social start-ups to some of the world’s biggest businesses, ICAS Chartered Accountants (CAs) are pacesetters in all areas of accountancy, finance and business. With ICAS you’ll have the opportunity and experience to achieve success in any organisation you choose.
About ICAS
ICAS is the global professional body for Chartered Accountants. We educate, examine and lead, enabling excellence whilst always acting in the public interest.
All 23,000 ICAS members have earned our world-class CA designation of Chartered Accountant, the qualification that’s shaped an international business community spanning industries and continents.
We continually foster the bonds between our members, so CAs at all stages of their careers can learn from shared experience and connect their ambitions to success.
How to become an ICAS member
There are various routes to the CA qualification and becoming an ICAS member, with options for school leavers, graduates, professionals and apprentices.
The path you take depends upon your current circumstances. Some routes don’t require finance-based qualifications or experience, and you’ll earn a competitive salary whilst you train.
Benefits of membership
The value of your ICAS membership goes way beyond our reputation and having those prestigious letters, CA, after your name. Our members benefit from exclusive rewards, professional guidance, a base of knowledge and technical information, dedicated life-long learning programmes and support through all stages of their careers.
With access to a global network of Chartered Accountants, international reciprocity agreements and collaborations, a programme of tailored events, professional communities, and dedicated area networks, you’ll be connected no matter where you are.
