A year unlike any other
2020 is unlikely to be a year any of us will forget. The impact of COVID-19 was felt globally, both personally and professionally, across all business sectors. ICAS was impacted in the same way as any other business.
We continued to grow and adapt throughout, and the unprecedented events of 2020 allowed us to demonstrate our commitment to and value for our Members, Students and firms in a range of practical ways.
We adjusted to remote working, moved all our operations online and supported Members and Students as we charted uncertain waters. We embraced the opportunity to inject the organisation with a more agile and flexible approach to the delivery of services, embraced new technologies and embedded new ways of working.
ICAS is one of the few UK professional bodies that continued with its training and assessment programme as planned, allowing us to guarantee that the world-class training and assessment of our Students continued, and that the careers of the future Members of our profession could progress unaltered.
Throughout 2020, a focus for ICAS was to make sure that we upheld our public interest mandate. We ensured that our professional guidance, expertise and ethical reason were applied to help shape and inform decisions made by governments and businesses around the world.
ICAS strived throughout the pandemic to connect and support Members and Students. Our team of subject experts produced useful guidance and assistance to lessen the impact on individuals, businesses and the UK and global economies. And as Members, Students and firms – large and small – worked hard to adapt to new circumstances, we ensured to provide additional support.
