9 October - Celebrating Black History Month – Empowering careers in chartered accountancy
Event summary
As ICAS celebrates Black History Month, our panel of Black CAs share their career stories and insights into how everyone can play a part in helping to empower careers and build a stronger, more diverse and inclusive profession.
You will hear about their aspirations, achievements and the challenges they overcame to get to where they are today, through the lens of the 2024 Black History Month theme "Reclaiming Narratives".
They also provide insight into the support they have received throughout their careers and explain how allyship can contribute towards shaping a more diverse and inclusive profession.
Whether you’re a member of the Black community, an ally, a CA or a student considering a career as a Chartered Accountant, watch this session for enriching conversation that goes beyond the numbers to celebrate the people who make our profession.
You’ll learn, be inspired and discover how we can continue to grow and get stronger together.
