7 November – Ethical Leadership: Will GenAI and other technological developments disrupt the ethical landscape?
Event summary
Ethical Leadership - what does it mean for you? Will GenAI or other technological developments disrupt the ethical landscape? How will it impact your decisions and choices as a chartered accountant?
Ethical leadership is the cornerstone of all we do at ICAS. CAs are faced with decisions and choices of an ethical nature and each year you pledge to uphold the highest ethical standards. But will the choices and decisions you make change with the impact of new technological developments such as GenAI and robotics?
During this webinar you will hear the real-life experiences of leading CAs in dealing with ethical dilemmas and choices.
Clive Bellingham CA, ICAS President, is joined by J Bruce Cartwright CA, Chief Executive of ICAS and Loree Gourley, Chair of the ICAS Ethics Board. He asked them about the ethical behaviours and decisions that have shaped their careers and what they think about the fast-changing business and technological landscape, including GenAI, and the impact on ethical decision making.
Clive also interviewed Jonny Jacobs CA, Finance Director EMEA, Starbucks and Trustee, Mental Health Foundation and ICAS Council Member, to gather his views on the ethical implications that increasing use of GenAI presents to CAs.
