29 September - ICAS Insights Challenging Conversations - Bullying in the Profession

In this webinar, hosted in partnership with the Law Society of Scotland and Adam Smith Business School, we provide examples of bullying experienced by members of the accountancy and legal professions and explore what needs to be done by organisations to eradicate such behaviour.

Catriona Paisey, author of Speak up? Listen up? Whistleblow?, will provide a perspective from the accountancy profession. Catriona will draw on some of the findings from her research which highlighted bullying experienced by CAs and made recommendations for mitigating the risk of such behaviour.

Elaine MacGlone, Equality and Diversity Manager at The Law Society of Scotland, will provide us with a perspective from the legal profession. This will cover guidance from the Law Society, Bullying and harassment in the legal profession, which is intended to prevent bullying and harassment from occurring, and help deal effectively with any instances.
