In this session, Mark Edmondson, Inflo’s Chief Executive Officer, interviewed Gavin Black, Partner and Head of Audit at Henderson Loggie. They discussed the foundations that had to be put in place to start the process, the firm’s plans going forward and how bringing new digital technologies into their audit process will deliver insight, cultivate collaboration and benefit clients and staff.

- Mark Edmondson, Chief Executive Officer & President, Inflo
Mark is former Big Four Auditor and Founder of Inflo, he works with 85% of the UK’s largest, non-Big Four firms, driving the Digital Audit agenda to improve the quality and relevance of the audit product. Mark is a member of the Advisory Panel to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board’s Technology Working Group as well as the Reference Group supporting the development of the IAASB’s new standards for auditing less-complex entities. He aims to transform the audit and accounting profession by making innovative technologies and broader expertise available to all.

Gavin is Head of Audit at Henderson Loggie, leading a team of experienced auditors to deliver a first-class audit service to clients. He works with a wide range of International and UK groups and owner-managed businesses. Gavin has strong technical skills complemented by significant commercial experience from working with a diverse client base. His specialisms include manufacturing, distribution, and professional practices. Gavin is also a member of the ICAS Audit and Assurance Panel, which is responsible for addressing Institute-wide issues on audit and assurance and proactively influencing standard-setting bodies.
