Advantage gives students new ways to stay updated
Your students will now get most updates about their training and assessments as announcements in Advantage, the home for everything they need.
A simplified student experience
Through our Strategy 2030, we're enhancing the experience of our students to help smooth their path to professional qualification.
Central to that enhanced experience is a new, streamlined communications process that empowers students with the information and guidance they need, when they need it.
Announcements in Advantage
Advantage is the new home for everything students need throughout their training. It’s where they’ll find courses, tutor discussions, timetables, Fundamentals guidance and our help centre.
And, through its announcements feature, it’s now where they’ll receive most of the essential updates that are key to their training success. This includes the pre-course information we used to send by email.
Please remind your students starting Test of Competence courses in September, and those starting Test of Professional Skills courses in November, to keep an eye on their announcements for key pre-course guidance and release of their timetables.
An app to stay updated
We’re encouraging students to download the Brightspace Pulse app to help them stay connected to their announcements, and other features of Advantage such as courses and tutor discussions.
Through the app’s settings, students can set up push notifications for new announcements, so they need never miss an important update about their classes or assessments.
The app can be downloaded from the Play Store and the App Store.
Keeping students in the loop
Students will find information on all this, along with links to the app, in the Communications guidance section of Advantage.
