Direct entrants
- Who?
School or college leavers who are educated to a good Higher or A Level standard but might lack knowledge of accountancy or finance. (Everything they need to know is covered by the CA syllabus and their training.)
- How long?
Normally around 5 years, but our flexible 3-to-7-year window lets the employer decide.
- Where?
Available to employers anywhere in the UK.
- How is it funded?
Normally fully funded by the employer.
Graduates
- Who?
They’re from a variety of backgrounds because, whilst a good degree is an ICAS requirement, it needn’t be in accountancy or business.
- How long?
They normally complete the syllabus in 3 years, but our flexible approach lets the employer decide.
- Where?
Available to employers anywhere in the UK.
- How is it funded?
Normally fully funded by the employer.
Level 7 apprentices
- Who?
They’re from a variety of backgrounds because, whilst a good degree is an ICAS requirement, it needn’t be in accountancy or business.
- How long?
They normally complete the syllabus in 3 years, but our flexible approach lets the employer decide.
- Where?
Available to employers in England.
- How is it funded?
Partially funded by the UK Government.
RGU Graduate Apprentices
- Who?
School leavers or graduates who train for their CA qualification whilst working towards a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting with Robert Gordon University.
- How long?
This programme takes 5 years to complete.
- Where?
Suitable for employers in Scotland. (Most of the degree study is conducted online but students are occasionally required to attend Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.)
- How is it funded?
Partially funded by Skills Development Scotland.
Professional entrants
- Who?
Someone with at least 5 years of experience in a financial environment who’s seeking to advance their career.
- How long?
They normally complete the syllabus in 3 years, but our flexible approach lets the employer decide.
- Where?
Available to employers anywhere in the UK.
- How are they funded?
Professional entrants usually pay their own learning and assessment fees.
CA CTA tax students
- Who?
Someone seeking to fast-track and combine their studies for the ICAS CA qualification with the Chartered Institute of Tax CTA (Chartered Tax Advisor) qualification.
- How long?
The programme allows students to fast-track their CA and CTA studies, achieving both sets of designatory letters in as little as 3 years.
- Where?
Available to employers anywhere in the UK.
- How are they funded?
Normally fully funded by the employer.
Special entrants
- Who?
Members of another international accountancy body.
- How long?
This depends on their previous qualification and experience.
- Where?
Available to employers anywhere in the UK.
- How are they funded?
Normally fully funded by the employer.
