The Opportunity
Interacting with stakeholders from Executive to Operational level, the Senior Finance Systems Manager role will contribute to the ongoing transformation of the organisation. The Senior Finance Systems Manager will lead a dedicated team in maintaining and optimising core finance systems such as NetSuite, Solution7, and Concur, ensuring the smooth operation and integration of these systems across various departments within the organisation. This role involves providing critical support to the finance function by overseeing system updates, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless project management during the implementation of new financial systems.
You will also supervise a team of three, driving collaboration and efficiency within the finance systems department to meet the organisation's strategic goals. To provide further context, this role focuses two thirds of time on finance systems projects and one third on Finance Systems BAU. This role replaces an outgoing postholder.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACCA / CA) with a proven track record of working in a Finance Systems environment in a fast paced organisation. You will have experience of of delivering, managing and supporting successful Finance systems projects and extensive experience with ERP systems. The ideal candidate will also have/be;
- Experience of finance systems across a wide range of finance functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash & Banking and Fixed Assets
- Experience in the development of MI/BI reporting tools or other Excel based reporting solutions and experience in this area is highly desirable.
- An Advanced / Intermediate Microsoft Excel user.
- Experience of project management and working with third party suppliers.
- A strong process and controls mentality and an understanding of data synchronicity and data reconciliation between systems.
- A pro-active and problem solving mentality
- Experience managing staff
