About the opportunity

Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their established & exclusive client for a permanent Financial Accountant to join their growing team. This company is based just outside of Dunfermline and offers an excellent salary package including a basic salary of £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience + bonus, hybrid working and long-term career progression.

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be in charge of completing all financial accounting and reporting for the company. You will complete monthly reporting including P & L, balance sheet & journals including prepayments & accruals. You will complete budgeting & forecasting with associated budget analysis and all tax & VAT reporting. You will prepare the year-end and annual statutory accounts and be the main point of contact for the annual audit.

About the individual

You will be a Qualified Accountant with a strong financial reporting background including year-end. Tax accounting experience is a bonus but not essential. You will be an excellent communicator with core IT skills including Excel. You will be a strong team player who can also work independently. You will be experienced at producing accurate financial reports to strict deadlines and have an ability to build relationships with various internal & external stakeholders.
