Our client, a leading reputable manufacturing business has a new job opportunity for a qualified accountant to join them as Commercial Finance Manager.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Financial Performance Management , the purpose of the Commercial Finance Manager is to be a trusted advisor to the Senior Leadership team, providing financial and operational insight that will support organisational decision-making and drive business growth.
The Commercial Finance Manager role is a business-facing role which will partner with the Commercial, Sales and Operational stakeholders to provide financial management and decision support, to help deliver the financial and strategic objectives of the business. The role holder must have the ability to “support the detail” as well as raise it up and engage with senior level stakeholders across the business to enhance commercial profitability whilst building long-term brand equity.
About the individual
You will be a fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to adhere to deadlines and adopt a challenging approach to deliver robust, accurate financial data and information to meet business needs.
- Experience in the analysis of complex financial information using financial modelling tools.
- Sound judgement and ability to make evidence-based recommendations.
- The ability to cut through ambiguity to provide insight.
- The ability to develop alternative scenarios for financial/commercial issues.
- Demonstrable knowledge and use of an ERP
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and transfer into meaningful financial information for use in business decision-making is required.
- Confident, self-motivated, and resilient, able to proactively identify issues and drive delivery of solutions.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and business partnering skills, especially in cross-functional contexts.
