About the opportunity

Hays Senior Finance are working with a Leading Glasgow Employer as they recruit for an Assistant Manager in the team. Based in the City Centre, you will be part of a vibrant team with steady and sustained growth. The Assistant Manager is a permanent post with responsibility for a team of Financial Accountants working part of a wider finance team of circa 100.

The Assistant Manager will be offered a salary from £43,000  £48,000 per annum and includes a range of benefits from buy/selling holidays, generous employer pension of 7.5% and 33 days annual leave.

About the role

You will be responsible for Statutory Accounts production and review for various legal entities in the group. You will be responsible for FCA reporting and have experience in technical accounting reviews offering insight and guidance on business performance. 

This is a broad role and will include the review and preparation of board reporting. This is a visible role with the CFO and senior management team and will work with all areas of the business to ensure delivery of accurate statutory accounts whilst gaining an understanding of the core processes.

You will lead and challenge the team offering best practice and guidance on accounting reviews and treatments. This is a commercial and fast paced role offering personal growth and development.

About the individual

As a Qualified Accountant you will have experience working in a regulated environment and will have exposure to working under IFRS and or GAAP reporting standards. You will have strong people management skills or desire to develop them and have previous experience in a financial reporting or Audit capacity.
