Policy Leadership Board – reporting requirements
Internal reporting by the Policy Leadership Board
ICAS’ General Regulations require the Policy Leadership Board to report:
- To Council, on an annual basis.
- To the Oversight Board, as and when requested.
The annual report to Council includes the following information:
- Statements from the Chair and a Public Interest Member.
- Governance information (e.g. current membership).
- Key strategy and policy priorities.
- Risk analysis.
- Key priorities for the coming year.
- Board Evaluation Report
From 2020 onwards, the annual report to Council will be published on the ICAS website.
Internal reporting to the Policy Leadership Board
At each meeting of the Policy Leadership Board, it receives and discusses reports from the chairs of each of the panels or committees whose work is relevant to the Board. This enables the Policy Leadership Board to stay abreast of the key policy work and developments across a range of sectors.
Self-evaluation
The Policy Leadership Board undertakes a self-evaluation exercise every year. This allows for a robust assessment of the effectiveness and impact of the Policy Leadership Board. The feedback is used by the Policy Leadership Board and Council to ensure that the Policy Leadership Board is fulfilling its remit under the General Regulations, with appropriate follow-up action taken on areas of improvement.
